          First stage: part of the rocket closest to the ground during 
          takeoff. 
          Inter-stage: part of the rocket connecting the first and the 
          second stages. 
          Second stage: second part of the rocket from the ground. 
          Third stage: part of the rocket that carries the payload. 
          Payload: that which is to be in space.
